The
only way soap can be made is by combining animal and/or vegetable
oils and lye water. When this is done a chemical process ensues
called saponification. A molecular change occurs and you no longer
have lye or oil; you now have SOAP. Soap can not be made without
lye. But many things have changed since “grandmas lye soap”, and the
natural ingredients and correct calculations make a wonderful
moisturizing soap that is nourishing to the skin and a pleasure to
the senses. This process also creates natural glycerin that is a
part of the finished soap.
Most
commercial cleansing
bars that are available
in your local stores are
actually created form
petroleum and not from
oils at all. Also most
soap found in stores
does not contain all the
glycerin, as it is
usually taken out and
sold separately.
We
use a variety of
vegetable oils including
olive, coconut, palm,
shea butter, cocoa
butter, avocado and
castor to create a mild
and moisturizing bar of
soap that leaves your
skin soft and gently
cleaned. Each bar is
unique in regard to
scent, color and the
addition of herbs,
botanicals, goats milk,
and specialty oils.
We have grouped our soaps into three
categories since we have such a great selection. ( We
love to make soap!)
-
The
SPECIALTY SOAPS are great for certain skin types or
conditions, or special uses like ore doggie shampoo.
-
Our
ESSENTIAL OIL SOAPS are scented with essential oils from
plants which are used not only for their great scents but in
many cases because of their beneficial properties.
-
Our
FRAGRANCE OIL SOAPS are made with only the best quality
fragrances to give you scents that are not found naturally, or a
mixture of essential oils and fragrance oils are used to create
these fabulous blends.
Enjoy, and if you can't find a soap listed that
you found at show or got in the past, just send us an email or give
us a call, chances are we still have it available.
